Rostrum laterally compressed for the larger part of its length, with dorsal and ventral, but no lateral teeth. Carapace with branchiostegal spine. Body entirely covered by numerous closely placed and sharply pointed spinules. Lateral margin of the telson with 6 to 12 spines.
