Rostrum a large, broad and flat triangular or rounded plate between the eyes. Carapace without trontal horns or other spines. Body covered with granules an a rather dense fur of short hair. Antennal flagellum long and consisting of numerous small articles, whip-like.

Type Genus: Synaxes Bate, March 1881.

This family consists of two genera and a total of three species.
